Loss of impact fees a concern for Local Officials

Costs of defending drilling ordinances can be high

The costs can be high for municipalities to defend drilling ordinances.  It is unfortunate Middlesex Township will have this burden placed on its taxpayers.

Study demonstrates no harm to schools from drilling nearby

This is very important.  Drilling opponents are trying to use schools to stop drilling.  This study completed in the Fort Cherry School District located in Southwestern Pennsylvania shows no danger to schools from drilling pads.  This should article should be forwarded to zoning and municipal officials in your community if they are concerned about natural gas drilling.
